On September 19th 2016, researchers from INESC-IS, UPM and CEA gave three presentations on EAB Research Projects Conference (EAB-RPC). The conference took place in Fraunhofer IGD in Darmstadt, Germany. EAB-RPC is Europe’s largest conference on research in the area of Biometrics and Identity Management.

Integrated in the Máster Universitario en Ingeniería Biomédica de la Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, Tbelén Rious (Phsd Student from UPM and reseracher at the PCAS project) gave a talk titled Sistemas de Reconocimiento biométrico en interfaces hombre-máquina. The event took place on 4th March 2016, in Madrid, Spain.

The PCAS project was present at the Mobile World Congress conference,in the NR stand.

The ICT 2015 event took place in barcelona in February 2016.

On November 7th 2015, Paulo Sousa, CEO of Maxdata, gave a presentation at the LaSIGE 2015 Workshop (http://workshop.lasige.di.fc.ul.pt/) that took place in Lisbon, Portugal, entitled "Creating a Palpable, Secure and Integrated PHR".

The talk described a novel user-centric PHR (personal health record) product built on the results of PCAS. This novel PHR allows each person to keep her/his own lifelong health data privately in one handy, accessible and secure handheld device, attached to the mobile phone (the PCAS SPD). Moreover, it automatically integrates with the diverse healthcare organizations, allowing the information to be updated continuously and to be uploaded or shown when needed.

The PCAS project will be present at the  ICT 2015 conference, in Connect Village.

The ICT 2015 event will take place at the Centro de Congressos de Lisboa (CCL) in Lisbon, Portugal on 20-22 October 2015.

GM Afcon presented the PCAS project among its products on the IFSEC exhibition. The capabilities and abilities of the PCAS project emphasizing its high end technological features were presented.

The use of PCAS in Access Control physical and logical products for secured domains and perimeters were be revealed in the IFSEC showing the PCAS abilities to allow the phisycal access of users to secured areas using biometric identification.

On June 24th 2015, Prof. Miguel Correia, researcher of the Distributed Systems group of INESC-ID, gave a presentation on the Confraria da Segurança da Informação  that took place in Lisbon, Portugal.

The presentation was entitled Project PCAS: Secure Personal Devices backed by the Cloud.

On 7 and 8 September 2015 Europe’s largest conference on research in the area of Biometrics and Identity Management funded by the European Commission will take place at the premises of Fraunhofer IGD in Darmstadt, Germany. The PCAS project is collaborating in the conference organization and will be present there.

On 8th September PCAS will have a presentation session, where it will be featured in two presentations: PCAS Project – Obejctives and Requirements, Architecture and Status and Multibiometrics in a Secure and Portable Device.

On June 1st 2015, Prof. Miguel Correia, researcher of the Distributed Systems group of INESC-ID, gave a presentation on the 2015 European Security Conference that took place in Lisbon, Portugal, entitled Cloud-backed Internet of Things Security and Dependability.

The talk presents how nowadays The Cloud and the Internet of Things are merging and how the SPD (from the PCAS project) can increase data access security.

The scientific paper entitled Termite: Emulation Testbed for Encounter Networks was accepted for presentation of the Mobiquitous (12th International Conference on Mobile and Ubiquitous Systems: Computing, Networking and Services) conference.

This paper describes Termite, an emulation testbed for encounter net- works. that allows allows developers to run their applications on a virtual encounter network emulated by software. Developers can model arbitrary encounter networks and specify user interactions on the emulated virtual devices.

The PCAS project is featured in the FP7 ICT Trust & Security Projects Handbook  edited by the SecCord Project. This document was presented at the Cyber Security & Privacy Innovation Forum 2015.

The scientific paper entitled Shuttle: Intrusion Recovery for PaaS was accepted for presentation of the ICDCS (35th IEEE International Conference on Distributed Computing Systems) conference.

This paper describes Shuttle, a novel system that allows the recovery from intrusions in applications deployed in PaaS platforms.

On February 21st 2014, Paulo Sousa, CEO of Maxdata, gave a presentation on the conference "As TIC e a Saúde no Portugal 2013" that took place in Lisbon, Portugal, entitled How to Create a Palpable, Secure and Integrated PHR.
